Playing each other in a friendly tomorrow. These used to be thundering great games with a lot of pride and patriotism going with them.
Like England winning 9-3 in 1963 ( I think) Then Scotland winning 3-2 at Wembley in 1967, the year after the World Cup victory.
Now they seem unimportant.
Does anyone out there give a monkeys about the fixture?

This just goes to show how boring and how little people give a shit nowadays about international friendlies nowadays.

I hate all international matches other than the World Cup finals and Euro Championship finals.
I hate how international qualifiers disrupt two weeks of the football season when they come round. I hate them.

I will be watching and want England to win, even more so with it being against Scotland. Remember Gazza's goal?

I'll be watching, it's fashionable to slate the England team these days but I still like to watch us and obviously still want us to do as well as possible.

I've never seen us get beyond the quarters of a major competition (bit young to remember Euro '96) and I want to see it happen.

My main issue is us calling up the likes of Rickie Lambert and in previous squads Leon Osman, we should use friendlies to gel young players who can be the future of the team. We never look like a proper team at tournaments and that's because not enough thought is put into selections in the build up to it. If I was Hodgson I'd know most of my squad for the world cup already and be using every opportunity to gel them as a team.

Fucking too right, it'll be pride at stake , England v Scotland .

Prepare for hard tackles , 100% effort and would hate losing to one another.

Could be the best game we see in years, come on England.

I bet there's fucking loads of trouble.

Cleverly and Wellbeck would never get in the England team if they didn't play for United.

Totally agree. Two very average players who have come through the United ranks and are similar to John O'Shea in terms of they do a job for United so people think they are good, but if they moved to a crappy team like Sunderland they would soon be seen that they are very average.

I could like England again if players like Rickie Lambert played. He is a proper player, played through the leagues, is proud to play for his country, he isn't some big time Charlie. Great for him.
