Well, whilst driving home today, away from the Reebok and listening to GMR as per usual, a guy phoned up and said Kevin Davies should be our next manager and he would get the respect of the players.

The interviewer mentioned that, Kevin Davies was still employed by Preston, who brought him in on a free transfer, but of course, we would have to pay some kind of fee to bring Kevin Davies back as our manager.

What do you reckon?

I reckon a lot of unintelligent people support Bolton, many of which like to call GMR on Saturdays and make me cringe.

What is it about being a Bolton fan that makes people always want what they don't have anymore?

We should never have sold Nolan, we should never have sold Taylor, we should never have let Jaaskelainen go, we shouldn't have sacked Megson...

If things were ever gonna go wrong this season, it was always going to be because we let Kevin Davies go.

It's just people letting sentimentality rule their head.

Nobody has any basis to think Davies would be a successful manager here other than that he was a great player, and that alone is poor logic.

You have to be kidding! No way is SKD ready to manage any football club.

Impressive but that hardly qualifies him to manage anything.

"If I was manager of Bolton Wanderers I know we would be making a push for promotion right now" - Kevin Davies, last week.

Christ what a goal that was.

As for him managing, I think he would tell you himself that he has another season or 2 left in him before he takes on a managers role.

If he was managing the team, training would consist of golf and ping pong, a la Coyle.

Never mind him being in the dugout, we need him back on the pitch.

Well in keeping with the young Scottish manager theme it has to be Micky Mellon or Graham Alexander.

I'm surprised that Barnsley did not make Mellon full time manager.

Get in for Micky Mellon he plays football the right way and wins more than half the games that he's involved in.

For a start, if Kevin Davies was manager of BWFC it would actually be Emma Davies picking the team.

I'd love to see SKD installed as our next manager, just to piss that ponce doffcocker off.

Part of me would be happy if he was installed as manager.

My only qualm is with slow, clumsy strikers, which is what he was towards the end.

Stop making out that I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.

Funny thing is he had 351 chances to do that when he played for us but none of his 74 goals were anything like this.
