Wanderers’ Under 21s will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways when they face their Burnley counterparts in the last 16 of the Barclays U21 Premier League Cup on Monday evening.

With Chelsea having brought their four match winning streak to an end with a 5-0 victory at Leyland last Monday, the club’s youngsters will be looking to secure a place in the quarter finals of the competition against the Clarets.

Having emerged victorious over Barnsley in a 4-2 thriller last month to progress to this stage of the tournament, the Whites will make the short journey to Turf Moor aiming to end 2013 on a high.

They will come up against a Burnley side however who have enjoyed a steady if not spectacular first half to the season five defeats, eight wins and five draws to their name so far, but they did slip to a 3-1 reverse away at Bradford City in their last league outing earlier this month.

After beginning their route to the last 16 with a penalty shoot-out win over Wigan Athletic back in October, the Clarets have since recorded 2-1 wins over both Crewe Alexandra & Sunderland to set up Monday’s clash with Wanderers.

Prior to last week’s defeat at the hands of the Blues, the youngsters were in fine form in front of goal themselves, notching 16 times in four outings – six of which came from strikers Conor Wilkinson and Zach Clough.

With Wanderers drawing a blank against the Stamford Bridge outfit however, the pair will no doubt be keen to get themselves back on the score sheet and help the Whites secure progression into the last eight and local bragging rights in the process.

For supporters wishing to attend the game, it will be held at Burnley Football Club, Turf Moor, Harry Potts Way, Burnley, Lancashire, BB10 4BX with kick off scheduled for 7pm.

Aye we beat a good higher ranked Academy Sunderland side that included Lee Cattermole (U21's my arse).

No doubt our team will consist of Cisak (our second goalie), Dummingan (made the 1st team bench once this season), Howieson (New Zealand international), Long (our back up centre half), Hewitt (he's made the 1st team bench a few times this season) and Noble (Ings and Vokes' back up).

It makes a mockery of U21's  Very Happy . You should see our youth side though, some great footballers there.

No prices announced as yet (what they doing?) but it's likely to be £3 and just the Bob Lord Stand open as usual.

So, that's quite a decent indicator of how your parochial Dingle minds work, isn't it then?

The world famous Manchester Utd come to town and 1200 turn up.

However, a team of children from the next village over appear in town and suddenly every man-jack of you is rounding up relatives to come "on't Turf" to hurl abuse at them and suddenly 10,000 toothless mouth-breathers swarm down, pay their one turnip entrance fee and away you go.......

You should be proud.

Actually Breadman, it was widely acknowledged that the only abuse thrown about was at the second leg at Deadwood , by Bar Steward fans towards our kids.

Stop tha bawling Breadman, it's only a game.

Ok......

So none of you Hill-Dwellers shouted any negative comments at the children from Blackburn?

Really........?

As you already know, I've lived in Burnley and I know just how jealous you lot are of the big city dwellers from Blackburn. They've got cars and shit.

And why the fuck are you on a Bolton forum at half-twelve at night?
