I am pretty certain the guy in the article is from Bolton and I am sorry to report that he has died from his injuries since this went in the news. He and his buddy went back to a hotel (that wasn't theirs) after a night out. They both decided to jump into an unlit pool - and it had no water in it.
The first guy dived in head first and the second guy did a pencil drop I believe. What an awful way to go. On his stag do and leaves two kids behind.
