Marvin Sordell was the pick of the Bolton Wanderers players in action for their loan clubs over the course of the Easter Monday Football League programme.

Sordell netted a hat-trick against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in a 3-2 win to significantly boost Charlton’s survival hopes.

Up the other end of the Championship league table Keith Andrews once again played 90 minutes for Brighton & Hove Albion. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Blackpool on their own patch, though still hold the final play-off berth in the league table.

In League One Tom Eaves appeared as a second half substitute for Shrewsbury in their 5-2 defeat at Preston.

Craig Davies was an unused substitute in the game for Preston.

Neither Josh Vela nor Sanmi Odelusi featured for Notts County or MK Dons respectively.

None of them have set the world on fire in their loan spells unfortunately, but maybe Sordell will attract a buyer after this.

He'll probably go to Charlton on a free- just to get him off the books and save his wages.
Any fee would be purely nominal.
