Bolton manager Dougie Freedman saw Leicester seal the Sky Bet Championship title at the Reebok Stadium and admits he would like to follow Nigel Pearson's model for promotion.

The Foxes claimed the three points they needed to be crowned champions with substitute Lloyd Dyer's fine second-half strike giving Pearson's side, who have been at the summit since before Christmas, a 1-0 win over Wanderers.

Leicester largely dominated the contest against a Bolton side with little to play for after a run of recent good results moved them into mid-table safety.

However, Wanderers were a threat on the counter and Lukas Jutkiewicz steered a brilliant chance wide just 36 seconds before Dyer struck.

"I'm building a team that is committed and is going to put their bodies on the line for the cause," Freedman said.

"You can start to see that in the second half of the season with our points tally. Leicester have done it in a way that I would like to copy with young, hungry players.

"They went and bought their players for a significant amount of money; we are going to have to find them a little bit rougher and polish them up."

Ha ha, is there no end to his bullshit?

As if Dougie would ever have the balls to attack and try and win matches.

To be fair to him, he says he'd like to emulate Leicester's style of play.

He just fails to mention the fact that his inherent lack of tactical ability and deep-seated fear of playing attacking football is stopping him....

I remember reading that article after Leicester got promoted when Pearson said he had to get rid of the "rubbish" and the players that had "no value to the team". Unfortunately the 2 players who are mentioned in the article play for us now.

Hilarious, absolutely hilarious. Laughing  Duggie wants to emulate Leicester City. Laughing The very same Leicester City that totally dismantled his carefully laid defensive plans with beautiful attacking football and made us look embarrassingly awful. For some reason the words cheese and chalk spring immediately to mind. Laughing

Bit of a contradictory report this...

Is he having a slight dig at the finances he has at his disposal or is he really that deluded?

Leicester won the league as they could afford to do it... we cant, any manager on the planet will not make this shower of shit win anything.

Yes that's true enough but most managers could make us look a whole lot better than Duggie makes us look with his daft ideas.
