Wanderers boss Neil Lennon is running out of words to praise Chung-Yong Lee.

The in-form play-maker was on song once again at Millwall, creating the winning goal with an inch-perfect pass for Darren Pratley.

Time is running out before Chung-Yong disappears for the Asia Cup – with the Boxing Day clash against Blackburn Rovers likely to be his penultimate game before jetting to Australia.

But in the mean-time, Lennon wants to get the very best out of his Seoul star over the rest of the festive period.

“What a player – I’m just running out of superlatives,” he purred after the Millwalll game.

“We played Chungy a little bit deeper because we wanted him to get on the ball as much as possible.

“We hadn’t been doing that enough recently. But you can see what he can do from any position and when he’s on the ball we look a real threat, there is a fluidity about our play and he gets others playing around him.

“He dominated the ball for long spells again, and he’s at the very top of his form, that’s for sure.”

Wanderers played for a long spell in the second half against Millwall with no strikers on the pitch but Lennon praised the way his attacking players went about their business.

“We wanted Chungy on the ball but the guys around him stretched Millwall and gave him the space,” he said. “Liam Feeney was playing in an unfamiliar position but they are good players and they adapted to what we wanted to do.

“When you change formation it doesn’t need to be over-thought. They are intelligent enough to get it.”

Lennon also revealed an extra reason to celebrate on Friday night.

“It was my boy’s birthday as well,” he said. “He’ll be absolutely delighted. It was a great day all round – he’s a lucky charm.”

I'm beginning to think Lennon has a thing for CYL...
