Now that I've finally reached that point where I have to go to Bolton matches as a full paying adult, I am to be rehomed in the North Stand Lower next season, after spending many years with the decent folk in the West Stand Upper.

Basically, it's the same price wherever you sit as an under 23, and I've taken advantage of that for six years by sitting in the upper tier of the west stand where the average full paying adult season ticket holder coughs up a fair percentage of his income to sit.

Should I be worried about joining the paupers in the north stand? Or is it actually a better place to sit, full of characters and die-hard Wanderers and that sort of thing?

Where would you rather sit?

I used to sit in the north lower, and it was ok for a bit, but I can't tell where the ball is at the other end off the pitch( or is going to end up), so what I've found out is the nearer the halfway line the better, you can see everything, but I'm Nat lofthouse lower.

West Stand Upper as it will be a better view than being stuck behind a goal!

The atmosphere is better in the NSL, but you have to put up with common folk texting every 2 minutes, with bladders no bigger than a pea, and at least one person sat next to you will not have washed since 2003.

Nobhead corner is an experience, you need to do it before you die, I remember standing there waving my shoes at the Hibs fans.

How come they haven't given these stands proper names yet?

They have.

We just don't use 'em.

You've got the "Lofthouse Stand", the "Bartercard Stand" and "The Nationwide Franking Sense Stand."

(Would you use the last two? No....see what I mean?)

And the South Stand is as yet unnamed.

I've proposed the "Whittam's Bell End" but the club declined.

Due to the clubs dire financial state, they will take any form of payment on the gate in that stand! Very Happy
