Neil McDonald is pleased to have ended a three-month chase to land Wanderers' defender Hayden White on loan.

White made his debut for Blackpool in Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Millwall – his first senior game since February when he picked up an injury whilst on loan at Notts County.

McDonald had been monitoring the 20-year-old former Sheffield Wednesday full-back for some time and was delighted to see him sign a deal until the start of January.

“I have been monitoring him and we tried to buy him in August,” said former Wanderers player and coach McDonald.

“He has had a little bit of an injury at Bolton and I've been to see him a couple of times and been trying to get him in.

“He came in on Sunday and I had it all arranged last week. It was all set and ready to go, he just needed to finish off his training with Bolton.

“I think his first game was very impressive.

“We are trying to bring better players in if we possibly can and to enhance the squad that we have got because it is thin and if we need to and if we can then we have.”
