I've been pretty disappointed with the TV entertainment on offer over the festive period, which shouldn't really have surprised me.
'Sherlock' was well worth waiting for,but the highlight for me was 'Leningrad & the Orchestra that defied Hitler'. Catch it on the BBC iplayer.
Left me quite tearful.(But in a manly way)

Surprised you didn't list Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas Specials amongst your favourite viewing over the holidays, Bouncy?

totally agree with both of those bonce but I also quite enjoyed the Dr Who xmas day episode. Utterly and totally silly but reminiscent of the best of Tom Baker in its sheer ludicrousness. And since when was River Song so dense, he practically held up a sign saying "Hello Sweetie" and she still didn't get it. It was a hell of a laugh when she did though. "Oh you are so doing those roots."  Laughing

Never been a fan of Mrs Brown, but I've been surprised at the number elderly ladies who adore it. Didn't think it would be their cup of tea.

Just watched The Martian, good film, totally unrealistic though, I mean Sean Bean works for Nasa.

got a mate who has a season ticket...no, not like that...to the flicks and goes 3 times a week. She reckons Amy was the best film she saw last year...its now starting for its network premiere on 4. Pass it on for what its worth, I will barricade myself in my drawing room against the unmentionables (rhymes with Nat) and watch it, happy evening all.

I never thought that I would enjoy watching a short bloke dressed up as an old woman either! Very Happy

I lasted one episode. And only because I fell asleep.

I might have another go at a more reasonable hour.

Rather gone under my radar.
