Just in case anybody think's I'm being ignorant and not getting involved in this thread, I'm not.

("I'm not" referring to my not being ignorant and not to my not getting involved. Just to be clear.)

I posted a couple of comments the other day but they never appeared for some reason.

And subsequently the shows I mentioned have been covered by others so I didn't bother duplicating them.

I loved that and nobody's mentioned it.

The very first programmes I remember watching, as a kid, was Muffin the Mule, and another puppet type thing called Four Feather Falls. That would have been around 1957, and of course, the original Lone Ranger.

Four Feather Falls was brilliant.

Tex Tucker went on to play Mike Mercury in Supercar and after that Steve Zodiac in Fireball XL5! Venus was a right horny bitch in the latter!!

I have been looking for this for years on and off but this thread finally inspired me to dig and dig until I found it. I remember it frightening the life out of me as a kid.

Anyone remember Box of Delights or Children of the Stones, both proper scarey as a kid.

Also Trapdoor, which wasn't scarey.

Got Box of Delights on dvd.Still enjoy watching it.
