For the record I've already said we shouldn't write Amos off completely yet. I can't imagine Rachubka, who is 34 and never been highly regarded at this level, being the answer long term.

It reminds me a bit of when Allardyce dropped Jaaskelainen one match for Kevin Poole who we all know was no Peter Schmeichel and was never gonna ultimately be number one.

Sometimes keepers just need a few matches off to have a word with themselves.
