Bolton Wanderers can confirm the addition of three staff members to new manager Phil Parkinson’s backroom setup.

Lee Butler has been appointed as the club’s goalkeeping coach, Nick Allamby has joined Wanderers as head of sports science and Tim Breacker has been appointed chief scout.

Butler, Allamby and Breacker join manager Parkinson and assistant manager Steve Parkin in making the move to Bolton from Bradford City.

Goalkeeping coach Butler’s playing career spanned over 20 years, as he represented the likes of Aston Villa, Barnsley, Wigan Athletic and Halifax Town.

Upon retiring from the professional game in 2013, Butler was appointed as goalkeeping coach at Bradford City.

Head of sports science Allamby also brings a wealth of experience to Wanderers. He previously spent nine years at Middlesbrough, working as senior strength and conditioning coach, rehabilitation specialist and sports therapist.

Allamby then made the move to Bradford City in the summer of 2011, where he held the role of head of sports performance.

Breacker, a right-back during his playing days, represented Luton Town, West Ham United, Queens Park Rangers and the England Under-21 side.

He then had spells working within the backroom teams at Plymouth Argyle and Leicester City, before linking up with Parkinson at Charlton Athletic. A then went on to work at Millwall as chief scout, before then reuniting with Parkinson at Bradford City.
