Conor Wilkinson scored his first goals for Chesterfield as The Spireites beat Northampton Town on Saturday.

Facing off at the Proact Stadium, the Republic of Ireland Under-21s international, who completed 74 minutes, opened the scoring early on before doubling his side's lead shortly after the interval.

Paul Anderson halved the deficit for the Cobblers on the hour-mark, before Dion Donohue struck back to seal Chesterfield's first win in five games.

Elsewhere in Sky Bet League One, Tom Walker came on as a 68th minute substitute as Bury won 2-1 away at Swindon Town thanks to Hallam Hope's first half brace.

Meanwhile in the Sky Bet Championship, Ben Amos was handed his Cardiff City debut as the Bluebirds lost 2-0 at home to Leeds United - Chris Wood and Pablo Hernandez with the goals.

Finally, George Newell was an unused substitute for AFC Fylde as they lost 1-0 away at Alfreton Town to exit the FA Cup.
