Eventually getting to her place we discovered that not only had she lost her purse she had also lost her keys, and it was pissing it down.
We ended up getting another cab to mine, about a tenners worth away from hers, she threw up in the cab and cried all over me. I had to pay for the cab cleaning too. She fell asleep on my sofa at about 4 in the morning after ranting about how shittily men had treated her all her life and then throwing up on my carpet.
She left at about 11 the next day after calling her mum and cancelling her credit cards.
I never saw her again and swore to my mate Dave that if he ever got the urge to set me up with someone again then I would drown him in his own blood. He paid me the cab cleaning money out of guilt.

Born to be a wanderer wrote:The worst date i ever went on was with this young hottie aged 17 i was only 18 t the time but i convinced her to come to Burnden Park to watch Bolton play Bury.It was 1985 and we were shit (i mean really really shit).We stood on the Manny Road the day was all set out to be brilliant watch the Wanderers with the fittest bird in the town.I was living in Swinton well Clifton,so we drove down in my Ford Escort Mk2 went to the match we got beat 4-1 by Bury.Then there was this club/pub called the Dukes on the top road in Swinton.I had arranged to meet her for part 2 of the date only to find out the lad she had been seeing for about 3 years since she was 14 had wooed her back.I got the message relayed that she was back with her ex of her mate.Basically it was" Krista does not want to see you anymore and is back with Chris".So to this day i never ever have found out wether she finished something that never got started in the 1st place becuase she had suddenly taken a dislike to me or the thought of more afternoons watching me screaming and shouting like a caged chimpanzee at our 4-1 humiliation to Bury had put her off me for life.So what started off as a great day ended up in a double humiliation.Still not sure what was worse the 4-1 defeat to Bury or missing out on a passionate night with a total babe who;s tanned firm body i let slip threw my fingers.Well i wish that body would have been slipping through my fingers.The one that got away.
