Wanderers legend John McGinlay is back at his spiritual home of Bolton Wanderers and will be working with the Club’s Commercial Team on matchdays at Macron Stadium throughout the forthcoming Sky Bet Championship campaign.
The retired striker, who scored over 100 goals in just under 200 games for Wanderers between 1992 and 1997, will work within the corporate areas and will help to develop relationships with current and prospective partners as well as interact with hospitality guests on matchdays.
McGinlay, who also won 13 caps whilst scoring four goals for Scotland during his tenure at Wanderers, said: “Bolton is my club and I’ve always considered it my home ever since I signed for the club 25 years ago.
“It’s a very special place with a wealth of history and very passionate supporters, and I’m delighted to be back in this ambassadorial role for the Commercial team.”
Commercial Manager John Ashley, added: “John was such an iconic player for the club and it’s great to have him back at the club in this capacity.
“John will meet and greet hospitality guests, sponsors and members on matchdays this season and we are delighted to have him on board where he will help strengthen partnerships with sponsors and guests as well as offer some matchday insight during Q&A sessions in all hospitality suites.”
