Who Would You Keep?

This is a list of players that I believe are out of contract at the end of June:

Obviously some are loan players, but now we know which division we'll be in next season, who would you offer a new contract to?

Robinson (another loan? Not sure what his contract status is at Everton?)

Not going to have much left are we? Going to be a big rebuilding job but i suspect we will be using the loan market as much as we can again.

The good news is we have Buckley for another year. And Darby, whoever he is.

ALF has another year i think but knowing Parky he won't play him much anyway

OK,I'm in a good mood,and I'm going to give the lad a chance. I've battered him enough,and I really would like him to prove me wrong in the coming season.
Let's hope he has a good summer,comes back refreshed,and turns out to be a regular starter.

Literally none of them.

I guess it all depends on what player budget Anderson can afford as we have the BluMarble debt to deal with in November.

If money was no object then obviously we would want to upgrade on all the players we had, so in a sense Hipster is correct.

Clearly if we can get better than what we had for free then we should be doing - for instance who knew anything at all about Mark Little before we signed him - well obviously Wanderlust would have! - but I doubt the rest of us would have.

If we can't find improvements on Morais and Henry (I worry if he can last out another full season) I'd keep them.

Alnwick might have to go if we can't move Amos out - Wanderers Ways say he's off anyway (Blackburn?) but who knows how accurate that is?

Robinson would be nice but I don't know what his contract position is at Everton.

Flanagan has been a quality player earlier in his career, I don't know what he is like now though and I would imagine other clubs would pay him more than we could if Liverpool let him go.

As for the kids I would imagine it depends on if they are deemed good enough to break into the first team over the next season.  If they are not and they are already 22, 23 years old, then I guess we simply don't have the funds to keep them in the hope they become late developers.

I'd certainly be hoping we can find better than Wheater as clearly the centre of our defence was a major weakness the season gone and was the need to play two defensive midfields in front of them for most of the year.

I'd be gutted if the youngsters weren't retained because they all have potential, however they may feel they'll get better opportunities to get game time elsewhere whilst Parky remains our manager so we may not have a choice in the matter. They may not have "broken into the team" yet but I do think the manager has a hang up about "experience" which they won't get if he doesn't give them a chance - chicken and egg. 
As regards new players, unless we get a change in ownership it seems unlikely that there will be much to spend so if the deckchairs have to be shuffled again, I'm hoping that Parky already has a list of targets and he'll be balancing that against renegotiating with existing players.
My concern is that those who still have a year remaining are a pretty underwhelming bunch and apart from ALF have only been makeweights to date.

Robinson on loan only for me while he is good getting forward his final ball isnt great.
Defensively not the best either but he may well be as good as we can get at left back if no new owner comes in.

Flanagan doesnt get forward enough for me so not to bothered if we dont get him again.

What happened with little near end of season he was hardly playing?
Injury or rumour of a bust up?

Just pisspoor management in my opinion.

Even if there was a bust-up, and I'm not saying there was, a good manager would put the team before his ego.

i think the sending off Little got annoyed Parky more than it should have. Couple that with making a big deal of bringing in Flanagan and not wanting to look stupid when Flanagan turned out to be crap.
