Wanderers have confirmed a pitch inspection will be conducted at midday before their Leasing.com Trophy clash with Rochdale.
Match officials will check on the playing surface at lunchtime to see whether the game, due to kick-off at 7pm, will be given the go-ahead.
Rochdale’s game against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday was also subject to a pitch inspection a few hours before kick-off.
A club statement read: “As a precaution, a pitch inspection has been called for midday on Tuesday ahead of our Leasing.com Trophy tie against Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena.
“Very heavy rain has been forecast for Monday evening and overnight into Tuesday, and following the amount of rainfall over the last 48 hours, the water table at the Crown Oil Area is already very high.
“Therefore, both Clubs consider an early inspection of the pitch would be helpful.”
