WANDERERS (3-4-3).

BILLY CRELLIN… 3

The youngster desperately needs to be taken out of the spotlight. Distribution poor, command of his area not good enough.

ALEX BAPTISTE…6

Defended well enough but was left constantly exposed by wing-back Kioso against Pickering and Kirk. Cut a frustrated character at times as the Crewe pair cut through too easily.

RICARDO SANTOS…7.5

His timing was pretty impeccable on the day, as was his reading of the game. Used the ball well, too. Continues to impress in a Bolton shirt.

RYAN DELANEY…7

Some awesome defending at times in front of his own goal. Could have been a lot, lot worse had it not been for his last-ditch efforts.

PETER KIOSO…5

Game going forward and his delivery was pretty good too but it came at a cost. The gap between him and Baptiste was too big and Crewe took full advantage.

ANTONI SARCEVIC…6

Carrying a back injury, so kudos to the captain that he got out there at all. Sarcevic wasn’t quite as influential as he has been in recent weeks but still solid.

TOM WHITE…3.5

Simply hasn’t looked the same player since he came back from injury. Touch wasn’t great in midfield and he was too easily bypassed for the second goal.

LIAM GORDON…4.5

Actually got a few good challenges in around the penalty box but still looks to be lacking confidence on the ball, or to beat a man.

ALI CRAWFORD…5

Struggled to get on the ball for long spells. Wanderers played in patches and, as usual, the Scot was in the middle of it, but they need more.

NATHAN DELFOUNESO…7

Clearly still operating under injury restrictions but two more goals under the belt, including a lovely finish for the first. Not one of the causes for concern.

RONAN DARCY…5

Lost the ball in a really dangerous area for the first goal but then responded with some good work in the build-up to the equaliser. Learning curve.

Subs: Miller 61 (for Darcy) – Couple of good touches, especially in build-up for the second goal 6.

Isgrove 68 (for Crawford) – Like Miller, showed a few glimpses of his worth 6.

Tutte 76 (for White) – Tried to add some stability.

Not used: Comley, Hickman, Mascoll, Greenidge.

Crewe: Jaaskelainen; Ng, Beckles, Offord, Pickering; Finney, Wintle, Lowery; Kirk, Mandron, Powell Subs: Dale 70 (for Powell), Ainley 70 (for Finney), Johnson 80 (for Ng).

Not used: Nolan, Richards, Zanzala, Adebisi.

Referee: Robert Lewis 7/10.

Wouldn't disagree with any of that bar a point here or there, but I thought Kioso did a great job both going forward and getting back and whilst we did get murdered at times the gaps were due to  being disorganised in our attacks and breaks - at times everyone piled forward and at others not enough did - can be sorted in training. Kioso was one of the better players for me.
