It didn't help me although I give you that I laughed at it when I'd worked out what the word was, as by that time I'd already got the 2,3 and 5th letters and I don't think anything else would have fit in to make a word with the letters I had remaining.

I got three of the correct letters in the right places on my second go.

Lucky 3 for me too.

Ist go I got zero letters!

Changed everything and got a (high-flying) anagram of the answer with first and last in the correct position. Fluke.

Funnily enough I did near enough the same - none in my first go and the three in the correct places the second (nothing to sneeze at).

Sometimes the letters just fall into place, looks as though they didn't for you this time BTID.

struggled today and was on the fifth go and had no clue. My 14 year old wanders by and has a look and casually tells me the word and he was right
