Morecambe boss Stephen Robinson says the scenes during his side’s 1-1 draw with Wanderers are “not what anybody wants to see”.
The players were taken off the pitch two minutes from time following allegations of racist abuse towards players on the Bolton bench.
After the game was resumed, Amadou Bakayoko struck a dramatic late equaliser to cancel out Cole Stockton’s opener.
“There are lots of accusations going about. The relevant authorities are going to deal with that,” he told the club’s YouTube channel.
“It’s obviously interrupted the game completely – the way we were going. We were totally dominating so it’s disappointing.
“I’ll let the relevant authorities deal with that and go from there.”
Ricardo Santos was shown a red card for handball midway through the second half, with James Trafford denying Stockton from the resulting penalty.
The Whites had won their last four matches prior to this afternoon’s fixture, and Robinson admits he would have taken a point before kick-off.
He added: “It’s another point against a very good side who are on a roll. Let’s make no mistake about the size of the club that Bolton are.
“I’m gutted that we didn’t win but before the game, with the form they were in, we would have taken it.
“We coped with their front three. We outpassed them and it’s a shame it has ended the way it did – the game being stopped.
“We’re here to play football and that’s it.”
The result sees Ian Evatt’s men climb to 10th in the League One table, while the Shrimps remain 21st.
The Whites are back in action on Tuesday night when they welcome Charlton to the UniBol (KO 8pm).
