Sharon Brittan's message to Bolton fans amid season ticket milestone 13625393

Chairman Sharon Brittan has called Wanderers' supporters “the best and most loyal”.

The Whites have now passed 10,000 season ticket sales for the 2022/23 campaign and Brittan is delighted with the support.

She insists something “very special” is happening at Wanderers and is determined to repay the commitment shown by the Bolton faithful.

“This extraordinary show of support confirms once again that we really do have the best and most loyal fans here at Bolton Wanderers,” she told the club’s website.

“We hoped the reduced Early Bird prices would go some way to repay the incredible commitment our fans have always shown the club and we are excited to see the offer embraced in such a way. I’d like to thank each and every one of you.

“There are still two days left until the Early Bird window closes and I would encourage all those who are yet to renew, or who are contemplating purchasing for the first time, to be part of this incredible journey we’re on and get your season ticket online or direct from the Ticket Office.

“Something very special is happening here at the University of Bolton Stadium and we want the whole BWFC family with us.”

Season tickets are still available from a reduced price of £219 for adults and £35 for juniors until 7pm on Thursday, March 31.

The pricing structure was decided in consultation with the Bolton Wanderers Supporters’ Trust in an attempt to make football “accessible” for the local community.

Moreover, cheaper tickets are available for next month’s clash with Accrington as Wanderers host their second ‘Family Day’ of the campaign.

More than 20,000 fans were in attendance at the first as the Whites hosted Rotherham earlier this season.

Wanderers hope to welcome their international contingent back to the training ground by tomorrow to start preparing for Saturday’s game at Wigan Athletic.

James Trafford, Amadou Bakayoko, Dion Charles and Job Dadi Bodvarsson were all involved for their national team squads last night.

Ian Evatt hopes to have midfielder Kieran Lee available for Saturday’s game and will bring back defender Gethin Jones after compassionate leave.

Kyle Dempsey is fit again after a minor groin problem but Evatt’s chief issue will be assessing the condition of attacking trio Bakayoko, Bodvarsson and Charles, who have all been in action around Europe with Sierra Leone, Iceland and Northern Ireland, respectively.

Wigan have also been boosted by the return of Jordan Cousins from injury, with the former QPR and Stoke City midfielder hoping to make his first appearance for the Latics since December.

Meanwhile, the Bolton Wanderers Supporters’ Trust has given an update on their electoral process with Alan Houghton, Martin Parnell, Ian Pegg and Michael Smith confirmed on the board.

All four men were nominated by the March 21 deadline but because there were only four places to fill, the trust’s model rules state there was no need for a ballot.

The four members noted will now join the existing retained board members, Robin Fletcher, Sue Higson, Terence Rigby (co-opted), Maggie Tetlow (co-opted) and Paul Wood on the board of directors.

>11k sold now which is great for a League 1 side especially if you look at say Blackburn who are in a Championship playoff spot with an average attendance of 12,869 - we'll probably end up not far short of that number on STs alone!
