'A massive season' - Conor Bradley relishing the challenge of League One 13937206

Conor Bradley is hoping to build on his experiences at Liverpool as he prepares for life at Wanderers.

The 18-year-old has joined the Whites on a season-long loan ahead of the upcoming League One campaign.

Bradley says discussions with Ian Evatt helped him decide that Bolton was the place to be as he continues his development.

“I can’t wait to get started,” he told the club’s YouTube channel. “Whenever I have met the gaffer, he has told me all about how we play football and how wants to make it a successful season.

“Everything he was saying to me, I liked and it’s obviously a massive season.”

“I can’t wait for the challenge. I know it is going to be tough and there will be ups and downs, but I just can’t wait for it.

“Hopefully, I can do the best that I can and the team can also do the best that we can and push for promotion.”

Bradley missed the training camp in Portugal last week due to his international commitments but has now linked up with the squad at Lostock.

He added: “It has been brilliant. My first day was yesterday and everyone was just so welcoming to me and I am grateful to them all for it.

“It just makes me even more eager and I can’t wait to start.

“Dion (Charles) has welcomed me. I’ve known him from being at Northern Ireland with him. Dion is a great player and a great person too.”

Despite his youth, the full-back has already made five first-team appearances for Liverpool including a Champions League game against AC Milan.

He has also earned eight caps for Northern Ireland, having made his international debut in a friendly against Malta last summer.

“From 12 months ago, I never expected half the stuff that has happened. It has been a mad 12 months but I’m looking to kick on and keep going this year as well.

“Being with (the Liverpool squad) every day is only going to help you. Just seeing the different ways they work hard and bring their game into training.

“Just seeing that every day was a great learning curve for me and hopefully it will be something I can take to Bolton.”

When asked how he would summarise his playing style, Bradley said: “I would probably say my best attributes are going forward.

“I like to put balls into the box, create opportunities, take shots and try to score some goals. I also like defending and putting in tackles.”
