A woke South Korean Cambridge economist has said that a full English breakfast isn't very British at all due to bacon being from Denmark, hash browns being from America and eggs being from anywhere.

We thought we would show him what a good full English is and how we like it.

So whether you like a good fry up with white or black pudding, fried, scrambled or poached eggs or even a hash brown, what is your favourite full English?

Love a good fry up but i don't like eggs, so bacon, sausage. mushrooms, beans, black or white pudding (like both) and a cooked tomato. I can do without a hash brown.

Difficult for a veggie, but most of the ingredients now have a veggie option anyway. Only like mushrooms in soup, so they're off.
Black/white puddings I put in the haggis class. Namely, only fit for the dog.
The only thing I have fried these days is an egg. Can't beat a fried egg butty with brown sauce.

I like everything in a good fry up so would include all the ingredients above (plus fried bread or toast)!

In reality though you are limited to what the cafe sells (or you can be bothered to cook for yourself) so limiting it to six items, I would go for eggs, sausages, beans, mushrooms, fried tomato and hash browns (and pay for a side order of fried bread), plus a mug of coffee.

I prefer ketchup too.

Controversially bacon doesn't make it on to the plate (away from home) as I usually find the cafe's either cook it to a crisp or there is more fat on it than meat!

My dad, a butcher, always left the rind on bacon. Wouldn't have it any other way.

As a kid we always used to have rind cooked crispy on our bacon but in winter used to cut it off (before being cooked) and leave it outside for the birds to peck at.

Similarly used to always love crackling with our roast pork meals.

These days though I tend to cut back on the fat for health reasons.

Anyway the bacon I buy these days seem to have more water or something in them and all this 'white' stuff seems to seep out when I fry them.

Times have indeed changed over the years!

I’ve used the excuse of being on holiday to have a fry up for breakfast every day this week - no black pudding though here in Malta and Maltese sausages err a bit in the frankfurter side for my liking but otherwise ok. Keep telling myself I won’t need lunch but still end up eating something before we go out for an evening meal. Finally guilt has the better of me and it’ll be fruit and yogurt tomorrow.

I did used to enjoy 2 linconshire sausages,2 smoked back bacon,a fried egg, beans, 2 toast buttered, vine ripened tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding and a hash brown with tomato sauce washed down with a pint pot of tea.

These days now i've had to resort to eating rabbit food Very Happy

On a more serious note, it's usually avocado and boiled egg on toast, banana and avocado or simply poached egg on toast with a black pepper garnish.

I have to stay on the healthy side you see. Very Happy

I always start the morning with Oat So Simple microwave porridge. Got a good choice. Banana, Apple and blueberry, just apple, sultanas, raisins, cranberry and apple, and many more. Add a splodge of honey, and away you go.

I think people have the wrong idea about 'saving the planet'.
The earth will be fine. It'll roll on as it has for millions of years.
It's just that we won't be on it. We'll have been shaken off like a bad dose of fleas.

Unfortunately that's not strictly true about the planet.

The way things are going with us fucking it up and creating unprecedented increases in global warming/greenhouse effect (before you start 63 - ALL the science (apart from a few nutjobs - and usually funded by fossil fuel conglomerates) have proven 'we' are the cause of the increase), what will eventually happen is the very same thing that happened to Venus and in the end the planet will become toxic and unhabitable to safely host all known life as we know it.

We obviously won't be around by then but what an awful way to treat the place that gave us everything we ever wanted and for such a long, long time too.

Rather sums up mankind really.

Eventually the sun will expand into a gas giant and eat the earth before imploding spectacularly anyway.

Eggy bread is a must for me when having a fry up. I do like some nice sausages and bacon inside two slices of eggy bread with lashings of ketchup.
I used to work at Wimpy where I specialised in the breakfast menu in the morning and burgers in the afternoon so I do cook a good fry up.
