Liverpool want to play Spurs again over the VAR cock-up robbing them of a 'good' goal they scored but was ruled offside.

Who do they think thy are?

OK, lets do it and let's reply every game theirs been a cock up - must be dozens off wrong decisions - Nat Lofthouse on Harry Gregg in the 1958 Cup Final. Maradona's 'hand of God', Taggart's 'goal' against Everton in the first game ever at the Reebok, Walters 'attack' on Bogdan that sent us down.

Fair enough Liverpool have been hard done by but they aren't the first team to suffer and won't be the last either.

Anybody think any differently?

It would be chaos. Every club that had a red card rescinded would be after a replay, because it caused them to lose a game.

Exactly.

That's my point.

Liverpool will know that so why are they asking for a replay?

If the PL say 'no' to them are they going to ramp it up to court action, or are they looking for future 'favours' - every VAR decisions and sending off appeals being 'kind' to them, type things?

Can't believe the VAR ref got it wrong it the first place, how hard was it to state his decision to the ref - decision 'offside' or decision 'not offside' - indeed why don't they show it on the big screen in the stadium like they do in cricket, so everyone knows?

Of course it should be played again.

The highlighted examples of bad decisions were just that, bad decisions. The referee giving them genuinely thought he was making the right decision, even if the majority didn't.

But on Sunday the VAR came to the right verdict, not offside, but hadn't been paying attention to the on-field decision hence the huge cock-up. That's why it has to be replayed, Liverpool were cheated out of a goal because of incompetence, and not a referee's poor interpretation of an incident.

I'm not disputing any of that but you simply can't start doing replays halfway through a season - there's already been numerous VAR cock-ups already for many, many teams that will have effected the final scores in their games.

If they say yes to Liverpool, then they might as well start the league season again because all the teams would want one or more of their games replayed again, as well!

Liverpool will know this, so why are they asking the question, what is their real endgame?
