Accrington Stanley 1-3 Bolton - EFL Trophy

Accrigton Stanley???



Tonight we take another step along the path to defending the EFL Trophy, perhaps the Milk Marketing Board could reprise their famous advert using this cup instead of Accrington's name?

Evatt/FV seem to have set their hearts on going as far as we can in the cups so I expect a near full strength team again from us (what is our strongest team these days btw?),

Maybe the reserve keeper is given a game and any players with niggles given a rest but I suspect we will go all out to get the win.

I don't know the rules in the event of a draw - straight to penalties I think it is(?) but I expect a win by us.

Anybody interested in this game at all?

Full Time: Accrington 1-3 Bolton...

A bit mixed tonight for me. Bod, Cameron and young Matheson excellent but on the minus side Paris was yet again awful and I’m afraid Ashworth just doesn’t look good enough. I’d send them both back as I’m sure we can do much better in the window.

Bod was great tonight! Thought Coleman was poor. Wasn’t a very good game, but we managed the win with several changes to our starting 11. Into the next round we go!

Not a bad display all around IMO. Bod MOM for me.
I agree with some of the comments in the BEN about young Ashworth. Seems a bit light and Mags was very casual last night. Could be one of those players who never reaches their potential. 
We could use a quality Left Back in the window as I am not a big Williams fan either.
Interesting that when Sheehan came on the whole team settled down and started to pass it around again.
