How many on here are thinking more positively about our future, than we have before with them two?

I can definitely see there is a lot more positive attitude from seeing players comments, Dougie is signing players that will run through brick walls for the club.

When you look back at past signings, how many of the signings could you say that about? possibly Cahill, Ricketts, but not many spring to mind.

All I care about is results. Not results in two years time, but results this season.

Results are just as bad as under Coyle, until that changes it doesn't matter how many positive comments come out of the club, Dougie will always be under pressure.

Ridiculous thing to say seeing as none of them have played. It's easy to say the right things when someone is upping your wages by 25%.

Feel very positive for next season and beyond. Dougie's seen the issues we had and addressing them, I'm particularly pleased with the way he's turning Sordell's career around.

Dougie's building for the future, adding players to our development squad which will hopefully mean we have youngsters coming through soon, good sustainable business.

It's impossible to compare Dougie to Coyle or Megson. He simply hasn't been here long enough. Give him time like Megson and Coyle were given and then judge him.

Shut up, you judge managers from the day they get the job.

Absolute rubbish. According to your logic , Fergie would have got the boot at Old Trafford.

If we'd given Megson & Coyle the boot after 1 day things would be very different at BWFC.

Surely that's the whole point of managers being given contracts ? Dougie wasn't offered a new contract at Palace, hence his reason for signing for us.

Unless you are Abramovich you have to offer a manager a contract that you think is reasonable enough for him to do a proper job.

Rafa Benitez only has a contract at Chelsea till the end of the season.

Benitez could still get the chop, before the end of the season. I suppose If Abromovich get's out of the wrong side of his four poster bed one morning, he could be history!

"Villa are going only one way under Lambert and that is down. A change is needed. Owen Coyle?"

Taken from the BBC website. I love how people still rate Coyle despite his awful record.

Trying to build a future under constraints.

It seems to me that Dougie has a plan, one that has been long overdue.

Good to see that more people are coming round to the idea that we are rebuilding on sustainable foundations rather than rushing to get back into the premiership with a team of overpaid has-been panic buys. Jam tomorrow isn't everyone's ideal but it does taste sweeter when tomorrow comes.

IF tomorrow comes.

Bear in mind, all our recent young 'starlets' have signed, gone on various loans, never got near the first team, then been fucked off...
