Man Of The Match

As the man of the match is announced at the end of the match or around then it leaves many people around me and including myself scratching their heads trying to figure what the player has done to deserve this. Last year Chris Eagles seemed to get the award despite having torrid games sometimes, this year some decisions have been let's say bizzare.

Who picks the man of the match? and surely it would be better for the club to revert to a similar way to how they used to select it and offer a free text in service to nominate your man of the match.

Medo for me. He was every where today. He put some decent tackles in, unlucky not to score aswell. Just a great all-round performance.

It's either Mark Lawrenson or Andy Townsend. I forget which one.

Most of the time whichever player is sponsored by the matchball sponsor on the day will get the MOTM - so i've been told.

I was under the impression the man of the match was selected by the match sponsor usually after a few glasses of hospitality
