Di Canio - fair play to him - seems to be taking a stand against those footballers at his club, who have more money than brains - most of them it seems.

He dropped Phil Bardsley for being pissed mid week - how can you train properly with a hangover seems to be the fair enough reasoning.

A picture of Bardsley and a couple of others who clearly have far, far more money than class.

He's played for Burnley has Phil Bardsley.

What a twat.

Although I blame Sky football for making average players into millionaires.

There's no class about it.

Absolute pricks. No class whatsoever. I can see Di Canio putting his foot down ( Jackboot ) and ditching Bardsley.

Journalist Question : Will those players be at Sunderland next year if you can control that decision?

PDC : (Pauses) No. Not under me.

I like Di Canio. More managers should be like him.

Unfortunately players have so much power these days that I have little doubt there will be a player mutiny early next season and the board will sack Di Canio.

These sorts of episode are why I'm falling out of love with football. Shit footballers that wouldn't even have been professionals 20-30 years ago earning millions off the back of our money.

Until the fans wise up and stop buying Sky Sports it will only get worse.
