Had a few crap jobs especially in my teens. said some of this before.

Collecting school dinner waste/pig swill from most of the schools in Bolton when i was 16, painting inside a water tank with black Bitumen at the top of a mill in in Westhoughton, with the smell of the Bone works in the distance, same firm.

Working at Chicken factory, awful job, they killed between 2,000 and 4,000 chickens a day 4 days a week and they passed by my head twice, dripping in blood while i changed them from one hook to another, thank fuck i got sacked.

Worked in quite a few mills and factory's non of them were great, but we had a laugh.

Even in the job i eventually finished up in got some shit jobs but we always had a laugh.

My worse ones are: 

Sprinkled sugar on mince pies
Put the pint mark on pint glasses
Putting letters in envelopes
Putting plants in boxes

Another was working at a Polythene bag company in Bolton , most boring and low paid job i've ever had.

The owner eventually finished up in jail, for fraud, cunt he was swarmy fucking business type conman.

At the time there was a " i'm backing Britain Campaign" started by some workers who said said they would work for a hour for nowt, for the good of the Country.

He found out about it and tried and succeeded in talking us into doing the same, with the proviso we got our money back at the end of each month, anyway the fucking Bolton Evening News turned up and did a front page spread on it, never felt so embarrassed in all my life.

Reading about him getting sent down a while later, did bring a smile to my face, though, cunt.

Packing pies one winter when I took time out from Repping, now that was mind numbing, the topic of conversation was usually get yer knob out from the girls, and show us your monkey from the lads, needless to say it was rivetting.

In my teens breaking up rental televisions as they came round on a conveyor belt mainly to get the copper coils on the tube out, you had to be quick or the fuckers were gone ,you had to get the back off smash the case break the coil off there were thousands of them,it was at an old mill in Bolton and it was for the TV rental company D-E-R LTD bet nobody on here remembers them but they were a massive nationwide firm,big as Radio rentals or rediffusion

I remember DER. They had a tele shop opposite the Town Hall in Bolton. We rented our televisions from DER ( Domestic Electrical Rentals )

Another company that went bust was ColourVision. They had a shop up Blackburn Road, near Asda.

Worst job I only did for a month after I graduated as I was desperate for cash and was waiting to get on the oil rigs so I went to work for a blackleg labour firm. In a 3 sided shed dockside in Aberdeen me and a mate unloaded pallets of "concrete mud" cement (used for pumping down oil drills to keep the temperature down) carried the sacks to a bench with a circular saw on it, sliced them open, poured the cement down into a silo (ready for loading on to the ships) and discarded the empty sacks into a skip. We had to change our face mask filters every 5 to 7 minutes and we had to shift 100 tons a day despite the air being unbreathable. That is one hundred tons or 50 tons apiece every day. We always made it but it meant working 14 hour days non-stop apart from mask changing and 10 minutes for lunch. The bastard driving the forklift to keep the pallets coming got paid the same as us which we weren't overjoyed about. Got bollocked by the landlady in Crown St for blocking up the shower with cement, but made loads of money, got on the rigs and paid off all my debt with a wedge to spare in 8 months before I got a proper job.
