The usual scenario would be for Broad and Bell to be out in double quick time in the morning followed shortly by the rest, the Aussies will be really pissed about the Broad thing, so he will need a tin hat and some ear plugs in the morning. If these two can survive the opening salvo and bat for an hour or so the game should be England's.

It's down to the umpire. How did he miss it?

Should the record breaking Australian get let off during their innings, wasn't he stumped or something.  A bit of luck evens itself out...eventually

Anyway looking good now

I'm really enjoying it so far.

It's sad to think this time eight years ago, cricket was picking up tonnes of new fans because anybody with a TV could watch it, where now you need Sky Sports.

Hip Priest wrote:The key wicket today was that of Michael Clarke for zip all. England now have a real chance to get back into this test match after a posting a disastrous 1st innings total of just 215. The whole country should rejoice and give thanks for the marvellous, wondrous world conquering swing bowler that is Jimmy Anderson, "The Bolton Express."

 he's from Burnley

Good point TheHateCamel.

Do you think that Hip Priest might have done it for my benefit or do you think that he really doesn't know anything about English cricket? Very Happy

The bowlers will be fine after some tea and cucumber sandwiches. 20 runs required.
