As Culceth_White says in another thread, ideally, the plan would be to have a clear out of high earners in the summer and to rebuild. Dougie has shown a lot of shrewdness in the market so I don't doubt he's capable of doing this effectively.

What's worrying is that in the meantime, there's already more quality at the club than the table would suggest.

People like to be dramatic about the mess Coyle left us in, but he left an underachieving squad that he didn't know how to get the best out of, not a bad one. Dougie has got rid of some deadwood, and added a few good quality players to the mix himself.
OK, it's a subjective matter but, we have and always have had a team capable of challenging for promotion. Everything points to the style of play and psychological approach, which leads me to wonder if we will progress, even once Dougie has had the chance to rebuild.

IMO with the playing staff at our disposal we should currently be top six in this division. The fact that we are bottom six is a sad enditement of The Dougster and his approach. We are capable of turning this situation round easily IMO but not under Dougie.

Dougie's doing a dance that is pure hell.

It's exactly that kind of stupid, myopic attitude that makes it possible we will go down. The board has it too. Of course we can go down, give me one reason to believe we couldn't when you look at the absolute garbage being served up right now and the fact that any quality we do currently have in the squad will be gone in January.
