Wanderers’ under-21 side will be hoping to carry on where they left off last time out when they take on their Everton counterparts at the Reebok Stadium on Monday evening.

Having overcome a two-goal deficit against Tottenham Hotspur a fortnight ago to run out 5-2 winners in the capital, the Whites will undoubtedly enter the clash full of confidence.

With eight wins in their last 13 outings in all competitions, the club’s youngsters current reside in eighth position in the Barclays U21 Premier League table, five points ahead of their Toffees counterparts in 17th.

Everton’s youngsters themselves enter the clash having not picked up three points since a 3-2 victory over Middlesbrough back in November, with four reverses in their six games since.

With a 2-1 defeat away at Norwich City last time out, the Toffees’ youngsters will no doubt be aiming to end their barren run and pick up three points to climb up the league standings.

The game itself will also involve midfielder Stuart Holden as the American continues his comeback from injury, while youngster Georg Iliev will undoubtedly be pushing for a starting berth following his five minute hat-trick from the bench against Spurs.

With just six league matches of the season remaining, the Whites will no doubt be eager to end the season on a high, starting with Monday's clash against the Goodison Park youngsters.
