It's a simple question, do you think you are brave?

I'm not talking about playing 5-a-side football with a slight groin strain or sitting through 90 minutes of Zat Knight, but proper bravery.

Have you ever had to step up and be brave, and if not, do you think you'll be able to should the need arise?

No the clown under my bed scares me its lips are sown up and it hums nursery rhymes and spiders crawl out of its arse and form words on the walls which are very nasty they tell me to kill certain people. My wife cant see it and does'nt believe me but she will oh yes she will allright.

I did once dive into the river Lune to rescue a young lass who couldn't swim very well.

Her mother was at the bank going mental, she was proper useless and I never got a thank you (understandable really as she was quivering wreck).

I had a strong cup of tea and a left in the sun cheese and tomato sandwich (just how I like them).

That's when I could swim like Mark Spitz though.

I deal with dangerous men and nutters all the time and women it's not being brave it's just a job I deal with people armed it's not brave it's just a job.saving someone's life is not being brave it's being a caring human being and not thinking about it as lots of people do unlike the cops who won't go into a foot of water to save a drowning man having a fit. This is one of your annoying posts Natasha. To me it takes guts to pick up a spider something I could never do or do a parachute jump or fly in a plane still hate it and have to get Valium and whisky but put me in front of a nutter with a knife and I feel nothing at all.

There's a fine line between brave and stupid. I once saved a pissed up bloke from drowning in the Forth and he took a swing at me as he was trying to top himself since his wife had just left him and taken all his money. I felt stupid and should have let the ungrateful barsteward drown.
