Wanderers’ Under-18s face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday lunchtime as they look to return to winning ways having not tasted victory since mid-September.

The young Whites lost away at Sunderland last weekend and currently sit tenth in the table.

Meanwhile, visitors Wolves come into the tie off the back of a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Liverpool, and find themselves just six points behind leaders Manchester City at this stage of the season.

Ahead of the match head coach David Lee had this to say: “Wolves will be a tough game but it is one we are all looking forward to. In the past we’ve struggled to score goals despite the opportunities we’ve created. That’s something we need to improve on.

“We need to be more ruthless in front of goal and start taking our chances and then the results will follow. It is all part of the learning curve for the lads.

“Our leading goalscorer Jamie Thomas has missed a few games recently with a knee injury so that has given chances to other lads to come into the team and stake a claim. It’s been good to have a look at them and they have done themselves proud.

“All the lads have been training hard. They’ve looked good in training and all in the frame to play tomorrow. I’m confident that whoever I pick is more than capable of doing a good job for the team.”

There will be a full match report available at www.bwfc.co.uk following the game.
