I know I'm going to get jumped on and this is just a story  I read that in the UK 71% were Christians,4% Muslims and although it didn't state other faiths such as Hindus etc it said the rest didn't have any affiliation.
I may be slightly wrong on that so25% were either other faiths or non believers.
Now this has no Racist conetation. But it said the most popular boys name was Muhammed followed by Oliver then a mixture of English names,or sounding names.
I find it quite strange that 4% of the population who are Muslim called their child Muhammed.
I know their prophet is Muhammed but that's either there's not many names to pick from or there's a rise of Asian children in comparison to Uk born Christian and non Christian babies.
Just an observation mind.

Just an article at the bottom of Breadmans Deeni doll post in the Lancashire telegraph.
The one where the doll had no face.Quite terrifying if you gave that a child IMO.

The interesting fact as I didn't make it clear was that the most popular child name out of all the children was Muhammed in the 2013 consensus of children's names born that year followed by Oliver. As 4% are Muslim and I didn't know wether Muhammed was one of just a few names given to Muslim boys.
Either there's a lot of extra Muslim children being born as 4% of the population is quite a small proportion of different nationalities or there is a limited amount of names compared to English names.
Just wondered if anyone knew.

Apparently there are different spellings of the name and if this is discounted the most popular name is Oliver.

It's actually 'Bruce'. I've done my own survey.

Quite correct. The reason why it is number one is because all the variations of the name are counted as well.
