Neil Lennon hopes his Bolton side can come out on the right side of what he expects to be a series of closely-contested games throughout the Christmas period.

The Trotters are unbeaten in their last six outings, keeping four clean sheets in the process.

Wanderers play three games in nine days starting a trip to Millwall this Friday evening.

And after back-to-back scoreless draws against Reading and Ipswich the manager expects the upcoming games to be of a similar ilk.

“At this level there is hardly anything between teams throughout the league,” Lennon said in his pre-match press conference.

“We’ve come through a really tough game against Ipswich who are flying high in the league.

“Going into this game against Millwall, we will be as positive as we can with our team selection.

“We’re looking for our away form to pick up a little bit. We know we’re more than capable of going there and winning the game, but equally, Millwall will certainly fancy their chances.

“It’ll be a very tight game and I don’t think that there will be much in it.

“Of course we want to win every game, but sometimes when games are tight it is as equally important that you don’t throw everyone forward and end up losing it.”

Yeah, it's simple, Neil -

The defence is no longer quite as shit as it was before you came (well done to you and Johann) but up front we look fucking garbage.

That's not your fault, you inherited this pile of shite, but given that you've got Lord Darkside's ear, can you please have a word with him about spending some cash on an effective striker please?

We don't do the whole "goals scored thing" at he moment and it's starting to become a problem.

Cheers.

Concerned of Bolton.

We seemed to be cursed with injuries for some reason and now we really are thin up front now!
