Anybody ever used one?

I just have and it's great!

Great, that is, if the look you're going for is "man wearing incredibly creased trousers".

I am so unbelievably bored, sat here watching Michael Portillo's Great Continental Railway Journeys, that I thought I'd try it out, as it's one of those things that everybody's heard of but nobody ever uses.

Like libraries in Wigan or Whittam's fanny.

Anyway, I am so unimpressed that I am seriously considering driving to the town of Corby (even though it's 95.8 miles or 1 hr 53 minutes in current traffic via the A1 from my current location - told you.....I'm bored) and taking a massive dump on their town hall steps to display my complete disdain at the frankly disappointing performance of their most famous export.

And then I'll drive off laughing at their ridiculously creased trousers.

Wankers.

On a more serious note, I can't remember the last time I ironed a shirt!

If the Mrs hasn't done it then generally I usually go for the "creased as a testicle" look! Very Happy

The last time I ironed a pair of pants,I ironed them 'front on' and my razor sharp creases were down the sides. I looked like I was walking into a headwind.

I wouldn't dare go out in an unironed shirt. That's just laziness. I do all the ironing (the old fashioned way) in my house. I do wish the Mrs would do my ironing but she doesn't. Sad

I learnt how to iron when I was about 15.

My Mum snapped one Sunday afternoon when she was ironing 5 blouses each for her and my sister and 5 shirts each for me and my Dad.

I remember it vividly. She just slammed down the iron and said "Enough! I've been doing this for years and it's about time you grew up, got off your lazy backside and learnt how to do this for yourself."

Dad was a bit shocked at first but he came round in the end.  Very Happy

I learnt how to iron properly during my little stint in the army when I was 17

I knew that was what KP was getting at earlier but I ignored his jibe because I am not morphing into Partridge and I hoped others wouldn't know what he was on about.

But then you went and posted the clip......

Set of bastards.

I don't think the Corby trouser press comes from Corby (I remember seeing it on QI)

Hands up if you couldn't be arsed getting the ironing board out and finished up with one of these on the carpet.
