No arguments, no discussion and yes, I've had a few.

Sorry if I've posted this before but it deserves a continued and a very wide promotion to a new audience (including toddlers in pushchairs because we need them to defeat Cowell) - Let's get it to No1 Kids!

Maybe not......

Anyroad, back in the day.......

Tony The Greek, Piccadilly 261 circa 1983......

Vaguely recall this one but must have somehow missed The Chameleons.

It's exactly fifty years to the day since the first settlers arrived at Johnson Fold.

well the Holy Esque gig was great, got talking to the singer before the gig but felt a bit bad for them as only about 20 people turned up! I did say to him next time they play Manchester it will be bigger and better as they are a cracking band and will be massive one day

Classic Fall from way back when. Mark Smith turns conspiracy theory about the "murder" of Pope John Paul 1 into a thumping good pop tune. Awesome.

do you like their current stuff HP? I have all their recent albums and by and large they are good. I have the 50,000 fans compilation as well which covers all their early stuff.

The last album I bought was Fall Heads Roll which I thought was really good. I saw them live a couple of times around that period in Wigan and Burnley and was really disappointed with Mark. He was completely pissed out of his mind both times and although he's always had big problems with alcohol he just looked like a tragically sad middle aged drunkard and the band seemed a bit of a shambles.
Although I've not heard the later albums I do have downloaded copies of some of them and they still get good reviews from the music press so eventually I will get round to listening to them.
Unlike most Fall fans,(I think), my favourite Fall period was the Brix era. The Fall released classic albums year in year out in those days. She gave the band a more commercial and poppy sound and brought a touch of glamour to proceedings, and also I fancied her like mad.

Saw them about 6 years ago in New York and he was true to form. So unhappy with the sound that he walked after 6 songs.

i saw them at the Factory in Manchester a few years ago and half way through the set he decided to have a seat in a little room by the stage so you could still hear him but only just see him depending on where you were in the crowd  Very Happy

They are actually playing their biggest gig for years soon at the Ritz but haven't decided if i want to go yet
