Words that go right through you

'Banter' and 'swagger' are the words that get on my nerves the most at the moment.

'Puberty' (for different reasons) used to turn my stomach, but not so much these days, now that I've officially finished going through it ( )...I think!

What words do we hate?

'Incontinence' and 'Bewildered'are two words i hate.

'Categorically' especially when a Politician uses it.

When people say things like...

"What are the words WHAT go right through you"

"Well he's went and fell over"

but yes there are individual words that I don't like. One such word used to be "gorgeous". Just thought it sounded wrong.

Same as "Morgan". Too close to mong and moron for me.

I forgot to mention "bonnie", where it means attractive.

In Wigan, among other places, it means fat.

Diarrhea.

That's a good one. My pet hate is the word pacifically which doesn't really exist. When I hear people saying pacifically when they mean specifically it really annoys me.

If anyone used the word ' pacifically ' in my prescence, I would ask them to be more specific.

Not exactly the same thing but people (idiots) on facebook too lazy to type full words and leaving one or two letters out, when it would be easier to just type the full word.

Can't think of an example but turning words like ''everyone'' into ''every1''.

Textspeak is just laziness.

Another one that pees me off with politicians is ' robust measures.'

And another, ' At this moment in time.' It's bollocks. Why not just say, Now ?

I have a friend RT, who regularly sniffs his underarm area, and will usually give everyone present regular short but sharp updates on the severity of the odour.

I think it's a habit he's just never wondered why he does.

I think it's paranoia that's the issue, not hygiene.
