Genuinely interested in how you define "our own" SK? How long do you have to have been here, or is it down to being born in UK, or is there some kind of amount you have to have contributed? I agree with you that the juxtaposition of giving an extra £100m on one hand (to refugees) next to cutting access to life prolonging cancer drugs gives pause for thought...think government appears increasingly a task to balance competing claims against finite resources, I think more time should be spent trying to increase the resources available, and having people join our community, and being productive members of it can only be a good thing in my mind.
