PRINCE-DESIR Gouano’s nightmare second half at Huddersfield Town stemmed from “heavy vomiting” at the half time interval, Neil Lennon has revealed.

The French defender had to dart back down the tunnel after the two teams emerged for the second half, leaving the Whites to start with 10 men.

Prince struggled as Huddersfield ran roughshod at the John Smith’s Stadium and chalked up their first home win since Easter Monday.

But Lennon was reluctant to bring off the on-loan centre-half as his side were already failing to cope with the physicality of Town front man Ishmael Miller.

“Prince was ill at half time and I don’t know if that affected his performance but we couldn’t change it because we were light enough as it is,” he explained. "But our centre halves didn’t cope with Miller at all in the second half.

“It was all too easy. We’ve defended pretty well the last few weeks but the old habits started to kick in and we dropped too deep.

“We tried to get them up the pitch but Miller was able to bring the ball down on his chest and turn, and that’s not us.

“Prince was in the tunnel and ran back in and was vomiting quite heavily. We asked him if he was okay but he took a tablet and some water and he said he’d be fine to continue.

“I needed him on the pitch.”

The landslide started after Huddersfield drew level on the stroke of half time – Emyr Huws afforded far too much space at a corner to drive in the equaliser.

“Wellington turned his back on the corner,” Lennon fumed. “He went to mark someone else but he shouldn’t be turning his back.

“It’s a poor goal going in near post. I think Ben Amos might have been unsighted but someone should have got a block on it.

“That happens in games but we should have dealt with and we looked very lightweight in that second half.”

Fuck off Lennon.

If he was sick you should have brought him off.
