Loving those first three fixtures - get a result at Burnley and we could be on our way! What a game it's going to be in East Lancs, capacity crowd guaranteed!

If Owen thought the pressure's off now I bet his heart sank a bit when he saw that first game.

Incidentally, what is the situation with Coyle's contract? I thought it ran out at the end of last season so what's the score now?

It must have been a myth.

Knowing our luck he will have been put on a rolling contract (just like Megson was) but they just haven't announced it!!

Cool - got a bet with a Palace fan we can get 6 points of them. Another good friend is a Wednesday fan, and a nice shopping trip over to Hull - its going to be a good season!!!

I'm pretty sure that Coyle's current contract runs till May 2013.

First nine fixtures against former premiership teams, it's like we haven't been relegated.

Makes a change seeing a different set of fixtures instead of looking when what date we are going to the likes of United and Liverpool for a beating.

By my reconing we will be promoted by the end of January. Very Happy

Burnley beat us in the League Cup second round a couple of years ago and it made their season, even though it blatantly meant very little to Coyle.

So I'm dreading this match.

Don't dread it, one of my favourite ever away games was a 1-0 victory at Turf Moor thanks to a John McGinlay goal. There's nothing like beating the dingles on their own patch and watching them smash up their own town.
