Pants were always good enough for Robert Johnson.
I don't give a flying what they wear if it's good stuff, and to my ears it sounds excellent!!
If Bruce Forsyth was playing it I'd still say it was good stuff!!! Smile

all you folky types on here should love this, The band are called The Staves, they are 3 sisters from Watford and the harmonies are amazing. Been to see them live 3 times and they are even better.

Was that a Royal Stuart tartan?
That's the kind of thing a Sassenach would buy.

Not a clue, the band is from Glasgow, they could be Rangers fans with the allegiance to the Union Jack?

Bonce, they were a great band back in the days, and I had a great night in December 71 when they appeared at BIT in Bolton and earlier that night I had seen ELP at the Free Trade Hall in Manc.
ELP were great until they started running up their own arses sometime after Tarkus. To be honest I think I preferred Emerson when he was with Nice.

I was at the Free Trade Hall that night as well SK and I thought ELP were brilliant, but as you say, in no time at all they became seriously impressed with themselves and disappeared up their own arseholes.

UB40..........

You're white - leave it.

I hated them as a teenager and even closed the window in my digs as a student in Birmingham when they were playing a free gig and the noise was polluting my room.

And it's not even good reggae (if such a thing exists).

It's uber-boring tosh. (See what I did there? Reggae....? Tosh....? Aah......forget it.)

Boring!

I never knew that Robert Fripp played guitar on Heroes by Bowie.

I've just learnt that in the bath - Phil Alexander told me.

(I wish he'd move out and get his own place because he's starting to impose a bit now.)

Been to a family fireworks party tonight. Had a nice bottle of white wine followed by a couple of bottles or five of Pendle Witch. We pissed on Cardiff City 3-0 last night, played great, and all things Wanderers are looking up for the first time in ages. FFS we might even be rid of Gartside sometime soon. Not heard this for a bit and  pulled it up on you tube to enhance the mood and it's completely done for me. Neil Young at his very best.

Awesome stuff HP, that is one of his finest moments demo. I read a snippet from him recently and one of his fave bands is Mumford and Sons, I was quite surprised.
As you may know he recorded Mirror Ball with Pearl Jam as his backing band, that is a great album with an edge to it.

Don't know how a music video with knitted characters can make me cry, but this does bring a tear to the eye.
