Rory has always been one of my faves and bought the video with this song on. Watched it once then binned it. It hurt to see how much weight he'd piled on and he was losing it by then.
So sad, but great memories of him in his pomp. Second to none!!!

Never been my bag I'm afraid. Neil Young was and is my Dylan.
I believe they share a mutual admiration?

Musically,I think Neil still has something to say.
Not so with Bob I fear.

I think you are probably right there but that would be from a rather slanted position on my behalf.

My favourite albums are Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, Goldrush and Rust Never Sleeps. However he has a vast catalogue and some of the stuff is dross to be honest.
He did an album called Mirrorball with Pearl Jam which gives them no credits due to contracts which I also particularly like.

I have Decade, although it's early stuff. It's a great introduction to him and it was the first one I bought of his on CD because I had a lot of his stuff on vinyl from early days. I then set about buying his later stuff on CD and catching up with stuff I already had on vinyl.
As a bit of sad trivia, on the Rust Never Sleeps album, on the Hey Hey My My songs, the line "better to burn out than to fade away" was apparently written on Kurt Cobain's suicide note. This deeply upset Neil and he stopped playing the songs for a while. Another classic line in the songs is "Rock and Roll can never die".
Enjoy!!
