KEN Anderson is confident Wanderers’ fans patience will be rewarded as the club looks to strengthen its squad next season.

The Whites chairman insists progress is being made behind the scenes to remove the transfer embargo, with the start of the summer window 46 days away.

Much could hinge on the outcome of a winding-up petition from finance company BluMarble issued to Sports Shield BWFC, which is due to be heard on Monday.

Anderson remains upbeat the issue will be resolved and he will be able to press ahead with his plans to submit relevant paperwork to the EFL, enabling Wanderers to trade freely in the market for the first time since 2015.

“Last season, it was several months before we announced the appointment of Phil Parkinson and his staff and I fully appreciated everybody’s concerns at the time,” he wrote on the official website.

“If you take into account what has happened in the 12 months since we can all say that everyone's patience was rewarded. We got the manager we wanted and look where we are today!

“Likewise, I am asking you to remain patient and continue to get behind the club like you have done since I arrived.

“I am optimistic that we will get out of the transfer embargo very soon and we are working tirelessly to ensure this happens.

“We are in dialogue with BluMarble and the EFL, and my main aim is to resolve this so Phil and his staff have everything at their disposal to compete competitively in the Sky Bet Championship.”
