He's turning into Owen Coyle mark 2. He'll be unemployable soon if he isn't already.

Never looked as if he believed he could do the job at Sunderland, talking about being in a relegation battle in August just deflates everybody, players, fans and staff. He always comes across as a miserable bleeder as well so unless he is different away from the cameras he isn't exactly an inspiration personality.

He had a good spell at Everton and was OK at Preston but he always struck me as a poor mans Allardyce. Clearly demonstrated by us beating Preston in the 2001 playoffs and his abysmal failure at Sunderland.

surprised, can't see him getting a premiership job, and you won't find many clubs with sunderlands resources in the championship, so either he was shoved or really does not fancy sunderlands chances next year.

Decent chap, walked without asking for a pay off. Most would cling on until they could claim another pay day.

Met him once, he was giving out prizes at a church 5-a-side tournament in Preston. He said I had the ball control of Ronaldo.
