Bit expected we'd concede in the last couple of minutes. Might have been better leaving Sammi and Josh on, but we never expected at least a point so onwards and upwards.

Replacing Vela with Le Fondre was a mistake for me although ultimately it probably didn't make a difference. It showed intent by the manager though. It did feel like a loss at the end but I never expected a point here before the game.

Vela and Ameobi are about 90% of why we've improved. From that point of view, taking them off seemed like a right dickhead thing to do.
That said, these are two players with a poor fitness history and the last thing we need is them getting crocked again.

Three points on Tuesday and we'll have lift off.

Could be the start of The Great Escape. We still have to stay healthy.Cajunboy wrote:Three points on Tuesday and we'll have lift off.

A mate of mine that went to the game said in the programme the ref was a Sunderland fan, maybe explains 6 minutes.boltonbonce wrote:I agree. A point, considering we had so little possession,is a decent result.Norpig wrote:It felt like a defeat in the end, where in the fuck did the ref get 6 minutes of injury time from? We have to try and keep the ball more though, 25% is bound to end up with us conceding.
In the end it was a point i wasn't expecting but heartbreaking to concede so late.
Had we been losing, the injury time would have been 3 minutes.
I have a complex.

6 subs means an automatic 3 minutes if they all happened in the second half- plus a bit for time wasting. But surely it isn't the ref and the 4th official who decides on how long injury time is.
Or have I got that completely wrong?
