Harry Brockbank has signed a new two-year deal with Bolton Wanderers for the forthcoming Sky Bet League One season.

The highly-rated Bolton-born defender came through the club’s Academy and made his professional debut for his hometown club during last season’s campaign, going on to feature three times in all competitions.

The youngster has now agreed a new deal which will see him remain at the University of Bolton Stadium until the summer of 2021.

Bolton Wanderers can confirm the signing of Josh Earl on loan from Preston North End until January.

The 20-year-old defender came up through the ranks at Deepdale having joined them at the age of nine and made his senior debut for the Lilywhites in August 2017 against Reading.

To date, he has made 36 appearances for the Lancashire side in all competitions.

Earl had previously spent time on loan at Lancaster City in 2016/17, making six appearances for the Northern Premier League Division One North side.

He goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One opener away at Wycombe Wanderers.

Bolton Wanderers are pleased to announce the arrival of James Weir at the University of Bolton Stadium on a one-year-deal.

The 23-year-old midfielder was last on the books of Hull City, while he also spent time on loan at Wigan Athletic in 2017.

Born and bred in Preston meanwhile, he started his youth career with his hometown club before joining Manchester United as a teenager and turning professional with the Red Devils in 2014.

He made one senior appearance at Old Trafford against Arsenal in February 2016 in a 3-2 Premier League win.

The former England Under-18 and Under-19 international goes straight into contention for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One opener against Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park.

Things are looking up. We can almost put a team out now with league experience.
I'm feeling optimistic.

Hi Rammy, did you get all your luggage back?

Have a good day.

Yes we did- after three days. We'll try and claim some money back but any chance of getting any is about nil.
I prayed for the Wanderers-  lets see what happens this afternoon.
We're in Liguria now ,drinking lots of Amarone and eating mountains of pasta!
I see all three new signing are playing this afternoon

I bet the Amarone is cheaper in Liguria than  in Ramsbottom.
