So the total number of coronavirus infections now currently stands at 87.

The death toll in Italy from this now stands at 107! Shocked

I did a stock check this evening on supplies and noted the following:

11 500ml bottles of antibacterial handwash
5 washing machine liquids
2 morning fresh washing up liquid
7 cartons of soya milk
120 dishwasher tablets
5 large cans of Spam
9 cans of corned beef
4 cases of beer
8 cans of mackerel in tomato sauce
8 cans of tuna
10 cans of heinz beans
1 bottle of Isopropyl alcohol
Multiple bags of dried pasta

I think we are ok for a couple of weeks with that.

Are the pasties cheese and onion?

I can see it becoming a bit of a swap shop when people are desperate for a particular item! Laughing

Cheese and onion indeed. They sell a half decent cheese and potato pie at the match, but £3.20. Mind you, it's a big 'un.

We've been told we can't work cross site for now as we are all part of the same Trust.

My missus told me this morning that there's a shortage of loo rolls. Apparently there's a run on them.

Panic buying and stockpiling is a good thing though as it will give us all practice for when we fully leave the EU.

We use the Daily Mail. Cuts nicely into squares, but isn't very absorbent.

Perhaps it's about time people got these fitted in this country?...

Absolutely this.

It depends on what data you read, but England alone is averaging about 17,000 deaths a year from "regular" flu. So where is the blanket coverage of that?

Spot on Nat. As I said on another thread, I was in hospital 3 weeks ago with Influenza A virus. It absolutely knocked me flat, and they took me into hospital for 3 days giving me oxygen and a drip for the whole time I was there. (They couldn't ignore me, I collapsed when I went for an oncology review.) Still not over it, and seriously thinking about what to do if COVD-19 gets out of hand.
Going to Cyprus on 22nd April with no plans to change it unless told directly.
That must have been a nasty experience, hope you begin to feel more like yourself again soon.
Cheers CB, very kind of you. I'm getting there, quite quickly for an old fart  Very Happy

Been there, done that, and you'll probably always have a lowered immune system, once the chemo has finished.
I have a grandson that no matter how slight his cough or cold, I get it. I was going to ban him from the house, but he's only 3  Very Happy

He has a shop here although he will probably want to keep the masks for his training courses and the building trade etc!

Edit: Hope he doesn’t mind me posting this btw!
